Terrible game 5 by the Detroit Pistons tonight. After having their best game of the series, they follow it up with their worst game of the series. They have played a 'Heckel and Jeckel' brand of basketball all season long and continue to feud with the refs instead of playing through the bad calls. There were plenty of bad calls tonight on both ends of the court, it happens for one reason or another, but the Pistons should know better being the defending champs. Rasheed Wallace has to understand how important he is to the success of the team and letting the refs get the best of him once again cost the Pistons the game. The Pistons are unbeatable when they play within their system. Swinging the ball around and scoring in the paint is their forte. However, tonight the Pistons played one-on-one basketball and the Heat did everything they wanted to do against Detroit defensively. As a result the Pistons ended up with 16 assists to 15 turnovers, less free attempts, and shot only 38.5% from the field. Not attacking the paint allowed Shaq to play 33 minutes and allowed Udonis Haslem to go for 14 points and 13 rebounds. This series likely goes to Game 7, but the Pistons have failed to play great in back to back games so far against the Heat.
Yep this is very true. When Rasheed plays well, Detriot plays well. When rasheed takes 3-4 shots the entire game, Detriot cant win. He needs to realize this and contribute and not let the refs stop him. Hopefully he will come through on his 'Guarantee' and take it to game 7
