I really think the biggest problem we have right now is defense at the one. Neither Blake nor Sergio can guard a chair. I watched Chris freaking Duhon shred us. Leandro Barbosa just killed us in the second quarter. We need someone who can stay in front of his man. That guy is not Steve Blake or Sergio Rodriguez. Maybe that guy is Jerryd Bayless. With such bad defense at the point, teams are getting penetration which leads to jumpers and dunks. I'm tired of it.

We could disguise that bad PG defense with a 3-2 matchup zone, but our guys are too lazy to switch out to shooters. That's what Nate tried to do in the second quarter, but Diogu and Roy especially were too slow on closing out.

Guys like Tony Parker and Derek Fisher are hardly even average on defense, but their deficiencies are masked by good team D.

I just want to see what Bayless can do. He might be the answer on defense.

I think he still needs seasoning, but it wouldn't hurt to see him get some PT.
