I just witnessed the worst defensive performance from this squad the entire season. How many times can one team leave players open on the perimeter? And it's not a one game thing, it happened last game against the Hornets too, when we left Peja open for basically the entire night, luckily for us, he was ice cold. It has happened the entire season. This game, it was basically open shot open shot open shot, do they make adjustments? Does this team even learn for their mistakes? The defense was fucking unbelievable. And I'm not even mentioning the layup drills we gave up the entire game. Bullshit. The last possession for the Wolves, down by three, you'd think they'd tighten up a bit. No, of course not, they just allow Ryan Gomes to get a wide open look from the perimeter, yet again. I could care less if we won or lost today, we should've dominated the Wolves. A Timberwolves team, one of the worst in the league, without Al Jefferson, should not be a problem. Too bad these guys don't even bother to play a single lick of defense. Disgusting. As far as I'm concerned, we should be on a 2 game losing streak right now. We're lucky bastards to win the game against the Hornets, and we're lucky the Wolves aren't at least halfway decent.

Hopefully the defense picks up. Their performance tonight was absolutely disgusting. Yes I know we play down to competition, but come on. Can you at least exert 50% effort on D?

Unfortunately you're right, we were a joke out there.

As I told Shape, that lay-up gimme to Telfair was the most embarrassing mistake of all, as if Fish was going to lock him down with absolutely no one guarding the paint and camped on the perimeter.

I think they said that assuming Bynum and Ariza would elevate our defense by being healthy.

Well I don't expect us to be a great defensive team, even with Bynum. Just adequate. With or without Bynum, the defensive performance tonight was unacceptable. When you continue to leave players wide open on the perimeter, something has to give. These guys have to wake up, I don't care who we're playing. I found it pretty amusing that after the entire game, during the Timberwolf's last meaningful possession, we still gave up a wide open three. Luckily for us, Ryan Gomes missed.

Your surprised by this? We always play down to our opponents level. We always get killed on the perimeter. I'm not surprised at all.
