<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Six-year-old Carrie Mutombo recently scanned the All-Star ballot for her famous father's name, but could not locate it among a group of centers that includes such immortals as Tony Battie, Brendan Haywood and Theo Ratliff. "Daddy, you're not an All-Star," she told her father. "Maybe you have enough of them." Dikembe Mutombo then asked his daughter for the ballot just to confirm for himself that he had been left off. Sure enough, of the 12 centers listed, Mutombo was not one of them. "It's a disappointment," Mutombo said. "To see a player of my caliber and what I've accomplished not be mentioned with some of the elite players in this league is disappointing."</div> Full Story by Frank Isola
That is just plain wrong, when players like Battie,Haywood are on it.Yet Deke a true legend of this league isn't? very sad.
Very true. I wonder how he explained it to her daughter. This is the East. We have a place for Deke at the C position.
Seriously. I mean, of course he's a shadow of his former self, but I think as a gesture it would be nice. But of course, he wouldn't be able to play that well in the game anyway.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Kid Canada:</div><div class="quote_post">Deke should be on the list over Haywood, Battie.</div> Definitley. They should be less flexible with these ballots, they have HAYWOOD on the ballots
Does anyone know who creates the ballots... The NBA does have a shallow pool of NBA Centers... which should have been even more reason for Deke to be on the list. Sad indeed.

Considering that you're once a defensive and rebounding demon AND you've had some great games this season?
Did anyone see Deke yell at John Cheaney when he took him out the game the other day? You can't even blame the man. I mean, all last season and the offseason Cheaney complains that he has no big man. He gets Mutombo and doesn't even play him. What gives?
Mutombo should be on the ballot more than Dale Davis should. Yes, I said it. I'm not completely biased towards the Blazers people.
