The fact that if they dont know who to replace him with should tell them not to fire him.

I think that's reasonable since none of the temporary replacements seemed worth a damn. Of course, the field of permanent replacements is largely made up of guys they didn't even want to sniff when they hired Vinny, and guys who were recently fired for sucking in their own right. I have no idea of what they're gonna do, but I have an idea of what the result will be.

And by the way... dick move.

It's almost enough to give me some sympathy for VDN. But not really.

Oh yea, mos definately a dick move. I still dont understand that why even think about firing him if you dont have a replacement yet. At least be smart enough to A) if youre gonna entertain the thought, start looking for candidates early on, even if there was no serious discussion and B) Dont let it get out to the public because then the shit will hit the fan hard and youll be made out to look like assholes (and dumbasses for the hire in the first place) after saying that he wasnt going anywhere.

Now my problem with this is that Vinnie is kinda getting thrown under the bus, yes he is to blame but look at the personnel he has. When two players (Salmons and Miller, along with hinrich somewhat as well) underachieve what everyone thought they were going to do, then all of a sudden its the coach's fault that his players arent knocking down open shots or that his team is having miscommunications with plays. I mean in no way shape or form is Vinny a good coach. He's mediocre at best, yes the team was slowed by injuries, and they just got a key part (thomas) back and he went off against the hornets. Now I think give him another week or two since all his personnel is healthy and if they have another bad blowout or lose a big lead again then fire him. But right now is not a good time to have let this get out because unless they fire him today and replace him today (since they dont want the assistants to interim) then he's gotta coach the team tomorrow and thats gonna be hard to get players to listen to you when "youre gonna get fired anyway".
