Michael Del Zotto is being shopped by the Predators, according to TVA’s Renaud Lavoie.
Del Zotto played 25 games with the Predators after the trade with the Rangers. In 67 games last season, he recorded 16 points, not exactly the type of numbers you want to see from a guy who is of the offensive-defenseman mold. Del Zotto is a restricted free agent who earned $2.9 million last season. Only 24, there should be interest around the league, though the Predators probably shouldn't expect a big haul in return.

pretty dissapointing for such a decent rookie campaign couple years back, this guy just can't cut it in this league i guess, i thought at one point he was gonna be a good offensive D man, i guess he can't even compete at this level, its too bad but goes to show if you dont work on your game every day you won't succeed. Good shit Glen getting rid of this guy

had nothing to do with being brought up to soon. MDZ was exposed as not having the mental make-up of being an NHL player. Would never take a hit to make a play or initiate/jump into a scrum to help a teammate. He literally had a scared look on his face when the puck dropped. The Preds found this out and cut bait quickly. Until this man grows a backbone he cannot compete in the NHL. Somebody didn't do their homework being he was a 1st rounder.

I disagree as far as him being brought up to early, he definitely was! Sather should have sent him back to the ohl for his last season there, he would have mentally and physically grown better, throwing him to the wolves of the NHL was a mistake that festered. He would have had more success being 18 in the ohl then the nhl and it would have translated had they allowed him to mature and grow into his roll slower, Del Zotto was rush because they thought he was the golden ticket. He may have been but it was totally mishandled from day one.
