Denver met with Drew Rosenhaus and Terrell Owens today. I am wondering would Denver give them much in a trade when they know that Philly will do anything to get rid of him. Would Mike Shanahan be able to control him?? Sorry for another topic regarding T.O but I just saw it on CBSSPORTSLINE.COM
Well i think Shanahan would be able to control him because he is a no BS kindof guy...i think denver woul give them like some back-ups or what not...
Annnnnnnnnd Denver goes down the tubes as well. I'm predicting 6-11 in '06 with T.O. behind the wheel there.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Pats_Fan420)</div><div class='quotemain'>Well, since I can't edit my post I'll correct myself in this one. 6-10 is what I meant.</div> I thought you meant 6-10 regular season, and then 0-1 in playoffs.
I wonder what denver is gonna give to get him. I think they should wait till around march when they can get him super cheap because he is owed a like 10 million roster bonus and the eagles want to deal him before that.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Cowher&Frown Co.)</div><div class='quotemain'>Well i think Shanahan would be able to control him because he is a no BS kindof guy...</div> So was Andy Reid. Tom Nalen (OL) said, "...we have veterans that would be able to control him." Now, I may have a real short memory but these are the exact same famous last words some Philly veterans claimed. Another rumor is Denver is asking about Ricky Williams. Personally, I have no problem w/ TO destroying the donkeys. Next, he can move on to St Louis & make bA a happy guy.
Am I the only one here who thinks TO will behave for a year. I mean if he does the same thing to Denver as he did to Philly he'll never play again. I'm sure he has the brains to keep his mouth shut for at least a year or two. I'm also sure if Denver is to sign him they'll negotiate his contract so that they can cut him whenever they want without taking a huge hit. He's not going to cash in right away like he did in Philly. They were a game away from the Super Bowl. We all can admit TO is a top 5 receiver in the game on the field. With him they could get over the hump and maybe win a Super Bowl. After that Then who cares.. They can take him or leave him after. I bet Owens is quiet for at least 2 seasons. In fact I don't think he'll ever have out bursts like he did with Philly. I believed he learned his lesson for the time being. I?m not a TO fan but your not going to see the same thing out of him for the next few years.

I don't like the guy but I believe he's going to be a "good" boy for a while which is why a one or two year stand with him might be worth the risk.
He will behave as long as he is getting the ball and with Tatum Bell and Mike ANderson in the backfield, this team will probably remain a running team, and as soon as they lose without him getting the ball thrown his way, he will step out of line again!
Personally I would be happy to take him for one season - as long as it is guaranteed that: A) TO does not know he is getting cut after the season, and It is actually guaranteed that no matter how well he plays he is getting cut after one season I think Shanahan is on some major ego trip. He thinks he can take any player and make them into a rehabbed star. The question is, Shanahan, how well did that Maurice Claurette thing work out?
Yeah I agree, he seems to think nobody is too far gone. He probably may have changed Clarrett's attitude but the physical aspet of his game is gone. Is T.O next??

The reason why he was cut was becasuse well he wasn't that good any longer. I mean a 4.8 for a RB is pathetic in my opinion.
If you can keep him in check, you are getting one hell of a receiver! It goes to show how good he is after all the stuff he has done that people are still willing to look at him.
