    Full Story

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">After scrimmaging with the Nuggets on Thursday, former NBA rebounding champion Dennis Rodman was invited to return today. He declined the invitation, but said he is hopeful the Nuggets will invite him to training camp, which starts Tuesday.

Rodman, 43, took part in four scrimmages with the Nuggets during a workout at the Pepsi Center. Afterward, the five-time NBA champion met briefly with general manager Kiki Vandeweghe and coach Jeff Bzdelik. Although Rodman wasn't offered a contract or a spot in training camp, he felt he got a "good vibe" from Vandeweghe and believes he will be back. The four-time NBA rebounding champion hasn't played in the league since the 1999-2000 season.

"I was running, jumping and doing my thing," Rodman said. "My focus was to just show them I could jump, get up to the rim. I tried to get a lot of rebounds, run, maneuver, set screens and stuff like that. I'll be all right. I think I hit all the points.</div>

Surprised that Denver has had so been so interested.
