Huge game coming up tonight for the Supes. If Houston win, we're guaranteed to finish with a better record than the Nuggets (pointless I know, but it would be nice to win the division with a better record, not just through a better devisional record). However if the Nuggets win, we're guaranteed homecourt in the first round of the playoffs. Go George Karl, go.
^ What's the point of finishing with the better record only to lose in the first round to the team that finishes with the worse?
My crystal ball says we'll win tomorrow, maintain that no. 6 spot, meet you guys in the p/o and own you guys there...
I thought NW division guaranteed us something tangible, I guess not. I'd rather have home court - the Supes will get one more win out of the remaining games to take it. I think it'll be the Denver game
Your crystal ball is rooted, purpleb0n9. Houston won by 28, 115-87, and now the Nuggets can't get 6th spot. Looks like we'll have to win to ensure homecourt - gotta love how the league's two hottest teams were the ones fighting for the chance to meet us in the playoffs.
^ I threw it out of the window... I was surprised that we were blown in that fashion. We still can get the sixth if they lose both next games and we win both of our next games. Looking at the bright side, this L will make us appreciate winning more than ever. Sometimes winning without losing for a while makes your hunger and killer instinct dull. It's good to have this L while it's still in the season. If they lose @ the Suns next though, Ill just say the Nuggets aren't ready for the playoffs.
Nuggets might still get to sixth, although it would require some help from Sacramento. The Kings, with the way their schedule is shaping up, could drop from fifth and the Rockets take over. Sactown could lose two games and then Denver, winning the remainder of their schedule, take over sixth. As a Rockets fan, I won't want that to happen, but it's also likely. Seems like the April 20 Seattle/Houston game would be decisive in who Seattle faces.
Nothing against the Sonics but if I were the Kings I'd let the Rockets take the fifth to avoid a first round date with the Mavs. It's more about the Mavs than the Sonics. They are a team that can go all the way to the Finals now that they're physical on the D end.

Who knew Mutumbo would play with such passion...he is getting himself ready to be a key player in the playoffs. James was the clincher, though...there is no way that Miller and Boykins should have let Mike James put up 25 points (or thereabouts). Where was the perimeter defense when McGrady was out of the game.
