When: Sat, Dec 20, 6pm Where: Pepsi Centre TV: KONG, NBALP No preview coming on this one. If you wanna discuss the game, do it here I think Denver will be way too strong at home, but you never know.
like i said last time we played, itll come down to our post play vs their outside shooting. last time they were ON FIRE from 3 pt land but we somehow managed to barely beat them on melos shot at the end. the sonics have too many guys who can shoot and that is the nuggets weakness defensively - perimeter shooting. barry, lewis, murray...wait til allen comes back.
When is Ray Allen comin back? Edit: language mate - SD
Ray practiced with the team for the first time earlier this week, and should be back around early January according to team reports.
Sonics took this one in a high scoring contest, I'll lat Sir Dez handle the details. Who locked up Melo on D?
Seattle 115 Denver 106 Maybe Richie Frahm got sick of Flip Murray becoming the media's darling. Frahm hit a career high 31 points, on 10-11 shooting (6-7 downtown), and added 5 rebounds, 3 assists and no turnovers in 32 minutes. The journeyman out of Gonzaga scored 10 points alone in the last, as the Sonics snapped out of their 3 game losing slump to win in one of the hardest cities for visiting teams. Without Brent Barry or Antonio Daniels, along with Ray Allen's injury, Seattle relied on Frahm, Ron Murray and rookie Luke Ridnour to anchor the backcourt and come away with a confidence boosting win, 115-106. Murray took advantage of the chance to start and had a fine all round game, posting 24, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. Rookie Luke Ridnour continued to impress with a career high 17 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and two steals. His night was soured slightly with 8 turnovers, but overall it was generally another composed performance by the first year guard out of Oregon. Rashard Lewis won his match-up with Carmelo Anthony, posting 17 and 4, whilst Calvin Booth provided a big spark off the bench with 8 points and 8 boards. Reggie Evans posted 9 rebounds off the bench too, contributing to a 45-40 edge on the boards. For Denver, Voshon Lenard did his best to run with Frahm and Murray, connecting on 7-14 three pointers to finish with 31 points, along with 6 rebounds. Andre Miller continued hss love affair with playing Seattle, posting 21, 8 and 5 dimes, whilst Earl Boykins and Rodney White both had 13 off the bench. Anthony again struggled with his shooting, fouling out with 12 points on 4-15 shooting. Boxscore Recap Courtesy of NBA.com and The Seattle Times. It what was ultimately a reasonably even game, with both teams having their fair share of chances in this one. It was also played at breakneck speed, almost 50 fast break points in all with both teams posting high assist totals. In the end however, it was Seattle's ability to hit key shots, in particular Frahm, that got them the win here, shooting around 50% to Denver's 40. Next game: vs Suns, Tues, Dec 23rd, 7pm.

Quoting anadagirlballer4strt:

yea...hmm how'd Antonio's strain came about? *scratches head*
If anything it just shows how deep out backcourt goes at the moment, Besides no ray, Bones and AD also out yet Flip, Ridnour and Richie Fraaaaaahm all came up huge. Very, very promising signs - Frahm looks like being our Reggie Evans from last season.
http://www.justbball.com/forums/showthread...1824#post141824 check that one out too... I spent some time on it, but I didn't see the one over here. Both are very nice in their own way

Quoting purehoops:

Seattle despretly needed some wins... Frahm 10-11... now that is how you get 31 points. Nice.
I remember Anthony Peeler used to rip nets everytime he played Seattle, I'm sure you look back on those times findly... Funniest thing was he missed his first shot, an open three from the corner, and immediately thought to himself "I'm cold tonight".
