QB - Pennington RB - Martin / Jordan WR - McCareins WR - Moss TE - Becht Pennington appears to be the real article and with Conway out and McCareins in, he might just have his best tandem yet. Moss exploded onto the scene last season and with the help of newly acquired McCareins, they could both have great seasons. The Martin / Jordan saga will continue making either one a very difficult player to commit to. Will it be Martin or Jordan long term? Can Becht breakout and be more consistant?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Giantsfan12004)</div><div class='quotemain'>I heard a rumor saying that Lamont might go to the raiders on draft day!!!!</div> I think that would be dumb. As much as I love Curtis Martin, his career is coming to a close pretty soon. Players of his ilk do not perform well into their 30's. If they do trade Jordan, they better pick a RB pretty high, I would not rely on Martin being healthy. Stats show that RB's crash fast at that age.
Does anyone think Moss will be good for a long time or do you think his one season was a fluke and teams will game plan for him better now?
Nah he will be good for a few years at least. He may not last too long at his size but he was pretty dominent at times last season. I think he'll be a good #2 Fantasy reciever this year....Maybe even a #1 on a team with a strong running game.
I hear that. I won't draft him to high because there are a ton of solid receivers out there but Pennington is the type of QB that locks on to one guy and makes him a fantasy stud. He did it with coles and then it was no coincedence that the second pennington came back Moss blew up. I traded for him last year right before pennington came back and he was worth every bit of Mike Pittman and whatever other scrub I threw in the deal. Another favorite QB of mine is Jeff Blake cus he doesn the same thing. Not that boldin wouldn't have been good anyways but it didn't hurt that Blake was his QB. Once he has a favorite he sticks with him.
Yes, but now they have McCareins. What if Pennington locks onto Justin? I think Moss is a good pick, I just don't think he'll be a good "value" this year after blowing up last season.
I agree and I like McCareins as well but pennington has a noodle for an arm and I'd think Moss is the better short option with game breaking speed, but who really knows at this time. I also feel some loyalty to Moss cus he helped me win my fantasy league with my friends.
That helps... It's hard not to like a guy in that situation. Just don't let that convince you to draft him too early. Don't forget, they have to play the Pats twice as well!
I hated it but I quietly cheer (in my head) whenever he caught a ball. Oh you'll see this season SF. I'll show the DWO which AFC East fan nows his shit. The best way to prepare...I think is live drafts on Yahoo. I do like 20-30 before any of my leagues start and since I won a league on almost every name I can do winner leagues which makes the draft tougher and gives you a decent grasp of where guys are going. Also read the books...internet and so on but I love warm-up drafts.
I hear you Pats.... just don't forget the one factor you can't control.... luck... hopefully you'll have a bit of that as well.
oh Luck is a huge thing I got holt a little later than he will go this year and that turned out extremely well and almost my enitre team either had career years (J.Lewis in the second round) and Ahman green McNair was having a career year and I had Brady on the Bench. the two games brady played were two of his best as well. I had all sorts of things go right but the big thing is health. Your team stays healthy you should have a chance. I also drafted Boldin as one of my last player taken ...But without boldin Charles Rogers would have hurt. I can't wait to get rolling with FFB.
i had S moss last year and he just did stupendous!! i dont think he is a fluke. I just have a good feeling about his career
The problem is no one knows just how McCareins will impact his success. I like Moss too, but I just think he'll get overvalued at draft time. I say he goes about 2-3 rounds before I would take him.... time will tell on that one.
In a 10 team draft, I think he's worth somewhere between 6-8, but I bet he goes somewhere between 4-6.... I'll let you know how it happens in my live draft this year.
i would take him at 6 only if alot of the backup QB's are taken cuz thats around the area u look for one of those with our small roster spots
