A report in the Sacramento Bee on Sunday had Derek Fisher covertly flirting with the Clippers for a post-Lakers career -- alongside Bryant, whose back-channel interest in L.A.'s other team is well documented. The Fisher rumor was a first, though, even to Fisher, who laughed when he heard it.

    From the sacbee...
    quote:
    * Fisher has gone from a starter in the backcourt to a reserve role since Payton's arrival, remains a commodity as a playoff performer and energy player, and some Clippers say he has also sent word of potential interest. Fisher first has to decide if he will opt out and walk away from $6 million over two seasons. The certainty is that point guard is the position the Clippers most need to address, either through an established veteran or a draft that could have several possibilities in the lottery, depending who decides to come out.

^ If this is a rumor, and Derek Fisher laughed it off, what's the point of this being posted here? And I wouldn't trust or read any news that comes out of the Sacramento Bee.

I would prefer to see DFish stay in a Lakers uniform. I personally have always liked him as a Laker. Plus, he adds great firepower and defense whether he is starting or playing off the bench. Not too mention he hits loads of clutch 3s for them, and I like that. The fact he's not afraid to take them is great.

Fisher as a Clippers sounds like a bunch of bull. This rumor sounds like they are trying to get something started to mess up a already messed up Chemistry for the Lakers.

The Sac Bee is notorios for reporting stories without merit. They are almost as bad as Peter Vecsey and the New York Post.

I would rather see George get shipped off. Plus why would he? This is championship caliber team, where he is like and belongs. Plus occasionally although he's become somewhat inconsistent, he's always worked hard and gets the job done. He's a lot better, than say Charlie Ward. He's like all that's left of Horry and himself. They were good together. Maybe he'll play better once Fox is better.
