OK good. That would have been a real dick move if he didn't give it up. Nice, I'm getting ready to go order an AI jersey from NBA.com baby!

I expected him to, Otherwise he would be given a lot of heat from the media. He has a few options in my opinion. He could go back to #4, The number he wore with the Knicks. He could go to #50, The number he wore in Cincinnati. Or he could give #13 a try. The day he got into that fatal car crash was on the 13th. He could look into that option also.

The quote in the original post says he will go to #8.

He knows AI is a great and he doesn't want to be portrayed as an ass by the media.

I was expecting him to. It would have been even worse if AI was not only in a different jersey than Philly but also wearing a different number. I remember when Iggy had to give up #4 to Webber. I would hate it if I had to give my number up for a player like Webber lol.

^^ I wouldn't be surprised if he did but I think it was a good move by DerMarr to give up his number. AI will always be known as #3 no matter what team he's on and it's better for DerMarr to just give it up instead of having to go through the media and the fans talking bad about him. Besides, I think he respects AI and wouldn't want to start any team drama.

That was diff the right thing to do when Iggy gave his # to Webber.
