Brooklyn Nets point guard Deron Williams received a cortisone shot and a platelet rich plasma injection in both ankles to relieve inflammation following an MRI taken Monday, the team announced Tuesday.

Williams will not play in Wednesday night's game against the Golden State Warriors and will be evaluated at the end of the week, the team said. He is in a walking boot.

Williams did not play Monday due to a sprained left ankle, the same injury that has kept him out of 12 games this season.
