<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Who would you start your team with? Millions of Americans may be suffering from a case of the Monday?s, but at least RealGM is here to provide yet another ?Be an NBA GM? match-up. Today?s battle pits Seattle?s Ray Allen against Utah?s Deron Williams. Allen is a sharpshooting ten-year veteran from the University of Connecticut, while Williams is coming off his rookie season out of Illinois. The Case for Allen Ray Allen can shoot. That?s the one thing that nobody can take away from the veteran who has spent time in both Milwaukee and Seattle. He?s a career twenty-one point scorer and shoots three-pointers at an impressive forty percent clip. Allen will give you heart, scoring, and a gentleman?s attitude. He?s one of the few remaining true good guys in the league, and he might have a shot at Reggie Miller?s NBA record for three point shots made. The Case against Allen While Allen is undoubtedly one of the league?s best shooters, he does lack a lot of the skills most of the NBA?s scorers have. For his career he has added four assists and rebounds to his scoring totals, but he?s not the all-around force that guys like Kobe Bryant and LeBron James are. He?s also not the best ball-handler for a guy at his position. The Case for Williams Deron, the third overall pick from the 2005 draft, played solidly for Utah last season. In eighty games Williams averaged 10.8 points and 4.5 assists a night for the 41-41 Jazz. He had some impress performances in his inaugural campaign and all signs point to an improved sophomore effort from the Illinois alum. The Case against Williams He may have been picked before Chris Paul, but he took a backseat to the New Orleans? point guard who walked away with the Rookie of the Year award. It?s unfair to write Deron off after just one season, but it looks as though he isn?t even the best point guard from his draft class. There are a handful of better options if you?re looking for a point guard to anchor your franchise.</div>
thats a pretty stupid case against ray allen and his ball handling skillsthe only case I have against him is his leadership ability. Ray can also take over but is just not as aggresive or athletic as kobe and both. His offense is much all around than what that case up there makes him come out to be. Dunks, shooting, freethrows, fadeaways, layups, shots off screens, clutch shooting, and ballhandling are all what shooting guards offense are mainly based on. Ray excells highly in 6 of those and slightly better than average in the other categories like dunks and ballhandling. Ray is VERY Athletic and if I provide u with this small video of him, you will notice. Eventhough this mainly shows him on the bucks. Ray can still do those things. He's just not a crazed dunker like kobe mcgrady and other shooting guards. Getting older he is wisely not doin what he did when he was younger to avoid injury. His deadly three pointers and shots makes him even more valuable as an aging older player. His defense is not that horrible either. If he can do something with this team this year well I'll know for sure cause these big men they have now have some great potential to be good this year. Thus getting rid of the excuse of Ray allen fans that say he never had a decent big man to play with or any for that matter.theres the videohttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=16WlaHTaq_kohh Yeah and lastly I forgot to mentiionthis is a stupid comparison.. just in my opinion that stupid case up there got to me though
I ignor these polls over at RealGM. Last week they had one: Who would you rather start a franchise with, Chauncey Billups or LeBron James. Over 85% of RealGM people voted for CHAUNCEY!! At one point it was like 91% to 9%.

What a silly comparison. Not even on his bad nights is Ray Ray at Deron's level. Deron Williams may not even become as great as Ray Ray within the next several seasons. I don't see Williams ever being better than Ray Allen.
