Ray Felton. better defender, scorer and a ok passer. Probably going to turn into a Stephon Marbury type of player(without attitude). Ray Felton would kill Deron Williams

Wow guys, stop posting such long posts about your opinions. Don't hurt yourselves (1st 3 people) [IMG]

But I will take Felton. I disagree with griz about him being a Marbury player without the attitude. Marbury, all attitudes aside, is a score-first PG. His mindset on the court is score first, rack up my assist numbers second. Felton is a true playmaker and a guy that goes out there and scores, but his #1 midset is to get everybody involved. I think he actually is a much different player than Stephon.

But on the Felton vs. Deron topic, I think both of these guys are going to be terrific players. No doubt about that. But Felton simply has more potential. He is a more sound player than Williams and he is much more heady on the defensive end. I think Deron will be a very good PG, and a top 10 PG in the NBA his prime, but Felton will be a sure top 5, possibly top 3 in his heyday. He is quicker than Williams, he's in better shape, he's a better defender, a better playmaker, and he's a much smarter player on the court. He started off a little sloppy, but that's expected with pretty much any rookie. He took big strides to improve his game just from October to January. I think he's going to be an All-Star. Williams has All-Star potential, and he could be one, but who knows.

If I am starting a franchise, and I have to pick one of these two to build around, I take Felton.
