<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>LAKE BUENA VISTA - The debate over who will be the top pick in the June 26 NBA Draft might not be a debate at all. While he wouldn't say that Kansas State power forward Michael Beasley should be the No. 1 selection by the Bulls and that he should go No. 2 to the Heat, Memphis point guard Derrick Rose said today he considers himself second to one. "It's definitely him," Rose said of Beasley, when asked about which was the superior player. "He's way better than me. He's versatile."</div> http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/basketb...0,5532903.story
I'm sure the Bulls will note Rose's humility, comparable to Ben Gordon's, and feel compelled to draft him.

South Beach, wonderful weather, and Miami actually has a legitimate superstar on their team.

Gordon for example: <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Asked Monday if he believed he is the team's best player, Gordon said, ''I think I am.'' [...] So the best player should be paid the most money? ''What do you think?'' he said. ''If the worst guy on the team is making more than the best guy on the team, does that make sense?''</div> Players need to have that over inflated confidence. There is room for humility, but not when you're supposed to be striving to be a legend...which Beasley seems to be doing more so than Rose. Either two things are happening 1. Rose is lobbying hard for Miami because he doesn't want to be in Chicago. This makes sense, as didn't he bolt for Memphis rather than playing at home before? Miami has the obvious benefits for a young player of night life and hot girls, the beach...needless to say, Miami was on Avery Johnson's "can't leave the hotel" list, and Chicago wasn't. He might not want his mom being close to him, and wants to be separated from his mom...understandable. 2. He knows Beasley is undoubtedly the #1 pick (look at the stats, not that hard to believe). He is now courting the Miami fans, who were overwhelmingly pro-Beasley (Chicago was overwhelmingly Pro-Rose). Trying to create a soft landing zone. But needless to say, with the Dorsey comment, Rose saying he hopes Dorsey is right, and the Steven A. Smith report about Rose not wanting to play in Chicago...it sure seems like he doesn't want to play in Chicago.
