Anyone think Stevenson would be a good signing for the Clippers? We need a backup SG/SF, and Stevenson is an athletic guy who can backup at more SG, but also SF, and he's athletic, and will fit well with the team. Courtney Alexander could also be an option as a good signing for a backup, what does everyone think?
I say go after Stevenson..I dont like Alexander that much. I think DeShawn can do a lot for the Clips off of the bench, now if only Donald Sterling/Clip managment go after him...
I would approve this signing. He still needs improvement in parts of his game, but he can do alot for the Clips by coming off the bench. By the way, does anybody think he resembles Steve McNair, QB of the Tennesse Titans.
Alexander is the better scorer, but I think the Clippers have enough scoring. I too would rather have Stevenson, I think he took big steps last season and he should be a solid player if the Clipps can get their hands on him.
Thanks for bringing this up! I would love to see Stevenson on the Clippers. He could be a spark off the bench
I think that he's a good backup, but that's it. He's way too inconsistent to be a starter in the NBA at this point. I try to keep in mind though that he is a lot younger than most players in the NBA though due to him coming to the NBA straight out of high school. Sometimes though, I would watch him with the Magic last year and he would just look lost on the court and would be all over the place if you know what I mean. Wouldn't be a bad idea for you guys to sign him as a backup for Maggette and try to develop him into 6th man material. I know Orlando is half-trying to get him back on the team.
I would take Alexander over Stevenson just because Alexander is the better shooter and Stevenson is way too inconsistent...neither play defense but Stevenson is definitely the better passer...
I think both would fit in well for the Clippers, and I'd perfer Alexander if we were to get one of them. For some reason I've been attatched to him ever since I had seen his first game as a rookie. However, I like Bobby Simmons a lot, and I'd like to see him play a lot of minutes as the 6th man off the bench, obviously backing up the SG/SF spot. Even if someone goes down we have the option of putting Jaric at those spots, so it isn't like we are thin. I think it's more important to bring in a true backup PG.
Yea I like Simmons too, and I didn't mind Barnes either, but just incase Simmons isn't brought back, one of these guys could be another options. The Clippers need to get a veteran PG that is able to play, and maybe also help Livingston learn some things as a PG.
http://www.nba.com/magic/news/MAGIC_RESIGN...-116008-66.html Stevenson resigned by the Magic, ah well, their was some hope for a while, I guess they could still go after Alexander.
