JR smith is injured...but byron scott started kirk snyder OVER desmond mason, i wonder if mason is set to rot in NOK since now it's week 3, and it's not right to say "he is learning a new system" anymore this is just wrong...especially they pay $8 million to seat him on bench
yeah but he didn't start the game and in beginning of 2nd half either i feel that players can be upbeat if they just start right from the beginning, if coach just starts snyder for like 5 min then play mason...he probably would feel uncomfortable or something i have him on the pool, and i also love him in his milwakee days...i believe he deserves way more min by the way...yeah..29 min is not little playing time but think about this..this is an OT game...29 min is a bit scarce don't you think?
yea mason deserves more minutes so does jr smith, both players should play at least 30 min a game and be allowed to have 15 shots a game
I was at the game last night, since I've relocated from Houston to Oklahoma City/Edmond. Synder made some nice rebounds and some nice shots when needed. I saw their line-up for the first time tonight, and saw Mason and I was like..yeah, here comes some major pointage. I was wrong. Mason was horrible and Synder did SOOO much better than him.
It takes time for a player to adjust to a different setting, hohoyoyoyo. Desmond Mason has been playing in Milwaukee the last two years under a very different system and a very different head coach. Although this is week three and Mason is still yet to show signs, don't be alarmed, it's all a part of the adjustment process. In Milwaukee, Mason was the second option and the go-to-guy when Redd was injured last year, but now he has P.J. Brown, Chris Paul, and J.R. Smith all ahead of him. He'll have to get used to that. In addition, I'm still sure he's yet to fully accept the trade from a flourishing, playoff-bound Bucks team to a likely lottery-bound Hornets team. Mason deserves more time and as you said, the Hornets aren't paying Mason 8 million for him not to have a significant role on the team. Give him some more time.
yeah i understand what you meant...i would LOVE to see hornets having a nice and deep line up (assuming mason starts later on this year), they would have PJ brown at C, david west PF (he is very solid..liked him since last year before his horrible injury), mason at SF, JR at SG, paul at PG and their bench is not as bad as people thinks...that's what i think because i only see courtside cuts for hornets games instsead of the whole game...but they are coming along in a couple years i think I am just very concerned because i drafted both JR and mason in my fantasy pool...like in the 7th round or something, and they aren't exactly producing as my lower round picks are outperforming them dramatically (eg. zaza, collison etc), and I need them to pick up the slack as soon as possible before my team sinks because i feel that they are too good to belong to the waiver wire I have patience, but it gets annoying to just sit and wait and watch the boxscore with mason playing poorly AND not starting (i always believe that other than learning the system, you need to also play in real games as many min as you deserve to get a feel of the team's game)
