His fight against Nam Phan was a loss. The decision going his way was a travesty and was considered the robbery of the year. Nam Phan was paid his win bonus after the fight. Prior to that bout Garcia lost to Mark Hominick, and has since lost to Korean Zombie, Nam Phan (again), Matt Grice, and now Max Holloway. As such you can argue that Garcia is 1-8-1 in the UFC, with additional losses to Roger Huerta and Cole Miller, a win over Alan Berube, and a split draw with George Roop. Despite all of this, "Bad Boy" is currently untouchable in terms of being cut from the UFC roster, according to Dana White. An undeniably exciting fighter, like Dan Hardy, he is being given extra chances based on style points. For the record, I think records are overemphasized. It's one thing to keep getting beaten but if you're at least making every fight competitive than a few losses shouldn't always lead to your dismissal.
