    Re: Detroit's Off-Season

Alright, for once in a great while, this is an off-season for the Pistons many will be watching, as usually we know the same team will be back. I am going to take you on a player-by-player run-down of both the possibilities, and also what I think should happen.Flip Saunders-Say what you want, this was not Flip's fault. The coach doesn't shoot the open shots and miss. Although the possibilities of him leaving will be there, I don't want to see it happen.Ben Wallace-I never thought I would ever say this. I really think it may be time for Ben to leave Detroit. His contract's expiring, and I think a sign-and-trade might work out well here, or just release him and pick somebody up. We could get something very good in exchange for Ben, whether it be through a trade or through the Free Agent market.Rasheed Wallace-Sheed may just as well be on the way out, although his contract is still safe. I would not be surprised if a trade would occur during the off-season.Tayshaun Prince-There is no realistic way he is going to leave Detroit. He was definitely our most valuable in the playoffs.Rip Hamilton-While rumors will fly, I cannot see our leading scorer of four straight years leave Detroit. He is much too valuable. I would sure hate to see him leave.Chauncey Billups-Chauncey is called "Mr. Big Shot" for a reason. While he struggled a bit in the playoffs, I expect to see a well-deserved raise in his paycheck in the off-season.Antonio McDyess-It's a shame to see this guy fall short of a ring every single season, but maybe the third time (in Detroit) is a charm. I can't see him leaving, nor should he.Lindsey Hunter-Lindsey provided a useful spark in the playoffs, and is arguably the best on-ball defender in the game. I see him retiring here.Maurice Evans-I see a lot of talent in Mo. He has some really nice hops, and I don't see him going anywhere.Tony Delk-Tony gave a very good contribution since the trade. I love his style, and would love to see him continuing to play in Detroit. I think he'll stay.Carlos Delfino-Although I would've liked to see him more in the playoffs, I'm wondering if he's the right fit. I have a feeling Flip doesn't trust him after seeing his playoff minutes diminish from the regular season. I have a feeling he will be in another uniform next season.Dale Davis-Dale is a big presence inside and I think he will stay here. He reminds me a little bit of Elden Campbell.Jason Maxiell-Jason was our first round pick in the past draft. In his limited minutes, I see potential, and expect that potential to be carried out in a Piston's uniform.Calvin Cato-When Cato came in for Darko and Arroyo, it was mainly to free up cap space to sign Ben Wallace, which may not even be done anymore, but I do not see Cato playing for Detroit next season.Amir Johnson-I still believe Amir was our best pick in the draft (even better than JMax). Don't forget he should only be a college freshman this year, as he came out've high school. I expect him to be a Piston for several yearsAlex Acker-Acker was the very last pick in the draft. However, I think the Pistons will hold on to him and see how he progresses.

I really like Delfino and he never got a chance in Detroit. I would love to see him on the Mavs, or anywhere else simply because he's getting dogged rotting on the bench.

I can't stand Tony Delk. He can't make a shot. Say what you wat but why did we give him more minutes than Mo and some of our other bench players in these playoffs.
