Los Angeles Lakers forward Devean George hopes the Sacramento Kings eliminate the Minnesota Timberwolves from the playoffs.

``I would rather play the team we have homecourt advantage against,'' George said Monday, expressing a different point of view from several of his teammates who say it doesn't matter who the Lakers face in the Western Conference finals.</div>

That's interesting to see. I'm actually amazed that he's rooting for the Kings, seeing as how the two teams pretty much hate eachother. Plus, if he were to remember back to last year, the TWolves had homecourt on them in the 1st round and the Lakers still took that series. But, home court is very important, especially when it's late in the playoffs and especially if you have it against someone like the Kings.

Interesting...I can see where he is coming from, but I still think we have a better chance beating the Wolves in the WCF's

All I'm looking at here is the fact that LA is 6-0 at Staples and 2-3 on the road. I'd definitely prefer Sacramento.

What do u mean by that Rudeezy??

I dont get. I also hope we play against the queens cause its time for revenge for that game we played earlier this season. I'm trying to forget that game but get reminded by my brother every time.

Kobe has something to prove against the queens cause we all know what happened last game.

Anyone we play is fine. Were beginning to look unstoppable right now so it doesn't matter who we play.

Statements like that have plagued jbb as of late. I am the only one who realizes that the Wolves are a very revamped team?

The Lakers match up better with the TWolves. Malone would have to guard KG on the perimeter which is not a good matchup whereas he could guard a one legged Webber. But Shaq would/should kill Johnson/Madsen. Payton would be better off guarding Cassell than Bibby (Laker Killer).

I meant that he said something that players never say. Its almost like an unwritten rule, so you don't jinx yourselves.

See, I realize that they are a revamped team this year, I'm not that dumb. But, you also realize that the Lakers are also revamped. Plus, they still have the two players that separate them from the rest of the league, Kobe and Shaq. And, if you can please tell me how they're going to guard either, be my guest. Because, Spree is a great defender, but, I don't think he can keep up with Kobe for a 7 game series, especially coming off a grueling 7 game series with the Kings. And, Kandi stands no chance against Shaq. Nor does Johnson or whoever else they decide to throw at them. So, this is why I think they would have troubles against them. Cause, quite frankly, I think Payton can keep up with Cassell, Kobe will be able to beat Spree, Shaq will DESTROY whomever they throw at him, so, that leaves it down to pretty much having Garnett as their only advantage. The Lakers know that they have no answer to him. So, they need to find a way to get KG going and hope that they can shut down at least Kobe or Shaq, cause, I don't think they can stop them both on the same night. This is why I don't think homecourt matters for that series. Because, even though they have the homecourt, I don't think they have the ability to keep it. I think the Lakers would take one of the first 2 and both at Staples. So, pretty much, I don't think the TWolves can beat them even though they are a highly revamped line up.

The Lakers may be revamped as well, but who won the west?

Nobody on the Wolves can guard Shaq, but they do have at least three non-scoring big men that they can milk for five fouls apiece. The hack-a-shaq might not be respected, but has proven it's effectiveness.

Kobe will no doubt be matched up with the Wolves' x-factor, Spree. I dont believe that either of these players can stop the other.

Dont try and tell me that GP can keep up with Cassell. GP could barely score on an undersized Parker. The only consistant scoring GP got in the Spurs series was when he posted up, and Phil rarely let him do that. Pending injuries, Cassel will dominate that match-up.

You may think that the Wolves can't keep their homecourt, but does it matter? The Wolves lost their homecourt against the Kings, yet they won at ARCO. Arco is without a doubt the hardest court for road teams to win on.

Cow Bells are more annoying than Jack Nickleson, any day of the week.
