I live in San Antonio and last night the local news station reported that Devin Brown's agent has said that there still is a good chance he may end up back in San Antonio. I honestly do not see how, unless it's a one year deal for the minimum. I don't know what the chances of this are, but thought I would mention it here for those of you not in the San Antonio area to hear this. As excited as I was to get Finley I was almost as upset that Devin wouldn't be returning. Evidently alot of teams are concerned about his back, and the Spurs might be able to bring him back cheap. If this is true, and pans out, all I can say about this offseason is wow! The other thing this made me think is that the Spurs might have something in the works to deal Brent Barry and/or Rasho. At this point it's just talk, but man they are working wonders so far, why not one or two more?

One very good source who I spoke to last night said that Devin has signed an offer sheet with Utah. Which would be a 2 year deal. However It isn't yet known how much he has signed for.

I will be surprised If he is matched If the salary is anything above 2 million.

Yeah I dont see how we could offer him anything over the minimum. We are out of money.

Not really about money to spend as the Spurs have his bird rights but It has more to do with paying a guy who will get very little minutes with the amount of quailty that is on the bench. It also factors in Devin Brown's wishes of wanting playing time.

I found out that the contract details is Devin signed an offer sheet with a starting salary of 2.5 million which will increase for the 2nd year.

Been said that Devin and Utah will be told that the Spurs won't match the offer by monday.
