I'm not saying the D-league is a bad place to be in or that its not helpful to a player's game but Devin and Von were good enough imo to be on the bench of a couple of teams in the league Im sorry the lakers couldnt find a spot for them Id kick "has been" "pseudo veteran leader" Aaron Mckie to the dleague and take one of these guys for the remainder of the season. I wondered where these guys were sent to does this mean we lost the rights to these players are they essentially free agents? Or do the Lakers still have the option of bringin' em back later? Its surprising to see a lot of good talent in this league like denham brown, tony bobbit, and darius washington jr. these are really good players. http://www.nba.com/dleague/news/draft_2006.html I dont understand the purpose of the d-league other than to give players more playing time and experience who need it why not play them in garbage time against real nba players or in practice? Im glad Farmar wasnt sent there we'd be in some serious trouble with Smush, sasha, and Shammond solely at point. Does anyone know where some of the teams picked their names why the 14ers???
McKie isn't eligible to be sent down to the DLeague. The only players you can send down are 1st and 2nd year players.
