DePaul forward Devin Hill confirmed Thursday he has decided to stay in Chicago after requesting his release from the Blue Demons and will transfer to Loyola.

Hill, a 6-foot-9, 210-pound forward, took a medical redshirt last season at DePaul after suffering a stress fracture in his left foot early in the year. He played in five games and averaged 5.2 points and 2.4 points. As a sophomore, Hill started 17 games and led DePaul with 26 blocks.

"It was all about [Loyola first-year] coach [Porter Moser]," said Hill, who is originally from Connecticut. "I had known him from high school. I still had a good relationship with him. At first, I wanted to leave Chicago. I wanted something different. Since it was a good situation [at Loyola], I thought it was a better situation for me to stay.
