Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant spoke with team owner/general manager Jerry Jones by phone Thursday.

Bryant, who was nearly arrested last month after a confrontation with security guards at a Dallas mall, will visit Valley Ranch on Friday and talk to Jones about his turbulent offseason. The receiver will also have his ankle, which was fractured in a game against the Indianapolis Colts in December, examined by the team's medical staff.

Bryant was sued for non-payment by two jewelers and an apartment complex for a little more than $500,000. He has repaid one jeweler a little over $240,000 and is in the process of working on settling with his other creditors.

"We talked [Thursday] to make sure he will come through and meet with our trainers," Jones said. "And about the other thing, we'll try to grab some time and visit about some of those issues."
