First baseman Adam LaRoche is out of the lineup again, but there’s some hope that he’ll be back out there tomorrow -- but keep in mind that almost always means he’ll get an extra day off on top of that. So I guess you should expect Monday but be excited if it's Sunday.

LaRoche said his right quad is feeling better and that he was hoping he’d get to play today, but he said he has to defer to the medical staff, which has seen this injury “a hundred times.”

Sitting out has not been very enjoyable.

“I would be the worst bench player,” he said. “I have a lot of respect for these guys who aren’t everyday guys. It drives me nuts. I was really hoping yesterday to get in there today and it didn’t happen. Hopefully tomorrow. It makes it that much tougher when we’re losing some close games, too, to not be a part of it. If we would have won those two it would be a little easier.”
