    Rookie pitcher Riley Smith earned his first career win. Newly acquired reliever Travis Bergen got his first major league save.

    The Diamondbacks have a lot of new faces these days after a three-week slump essentially ruined their playoff chances and drove general manager Mike Hazen's decision to overhaul the roster. On Thursday, those newcomers came through to help Arizona earn a rare win against the NL West-leading Los Angeles Dodgers.

    Carson Kelly hit a two-run homer, Christian Walker added a two-run double and Arizona snapped a seven-game losing streak to Los Angeles with a 5-2 victory. The Diamondbacks won for just the third time in 21 games overall.
