QUOTE

Even more impressive, he wanted to play for his country so badly that he agreed to waive $10 million of his $45 million contract if he gets hurt (France is covering the rest with an insurance policy), thereby pacifying Suns owner Robert Sarver. "His transformation is amazing," D'Antoni said of Diaw. "He's gone from a guy trying to quietly fit in (with the Suns) to a guy carrying his country on his back." Re: Diaw agreed to waive 10 million off his own contract if he were to get hurt ... That was a dangerous choice, it is likely that he will miss some games. Is there a certain amount of days he can be out for without having to waive the 10$ million off of his contract, because losing that much money from a simple flu would be ridiculous.
Re: Diaw agreed to waive 10 million off his own contract if he were to get hurt ... One of you Suns fans should go over & take him out. lol
He's over paid,.

Re: Diaw agreed to waive 10 million off his own contract if he were to get hurt ... Wow. I can't wait for the Euro's.
Re: Diaw agreed to waive 10 million off his own contract if he were to get hurt ... I take it that the waiver only occurs, if he is hurt in International ball, and not during the NBA season.
Re: Diaw agreed to waive 10 million off his own contract if he were to get hurt ... It makes no difference.
If he gets hurt, his whole salary goes against the cap regardless and the Suns can't replace him.
That helps the owner recoup 10 million, but does nothing for Suns fans.

Re: Diaw agreed to waive 10 million off his own contract if he were to get hurt ... That show's his Passion for his country!
I support him.

Re: Diaw agreed to waive 10 million off his own contract if he were to get hurt ... Admirable thing...

They are over the cap for the next 2 seasons. If Boris misses more than 1 season, remember how in the new CBA his salary can be taken off (reduced from 2 seasons ie Terral Brandon)?
Didn't you say that if Prince got hurt it won't matter?
