Did anyone else get the e-mail saying that post season tickets for the Yankees are now on sale??? really??? I mean, come on...

Forget the fact that the Yankees are 12.5 back in the AL East and officially eliminated from winning the East, they are 3.5 back in the wild card and need to leap frog 4 teams to make the post season with only 9 games left... and then I get this e-mail from the Yankees asking me to purchase post season tickets starting today... Really? You want me to buy tickets to something that will likely never happen???

Mine came from Yankees.com with a subject line of "Reminder: Your 2013 Wild Card/ALDS/ALCS MasterCard Pre-on-sale is today, Sept. 20" I think it's just ridiculous...

I'm sure many season ticket holders had a nice laugh this morning.

The football giants do this the best. You only pay for post season tickets once they are actually in and have a home game. Otherwise teams hold your money for months interest free before you get it back with no interest

I'm sure it's just an MLB thing. It's not that much of a stretch to consider they could get in. Most years, without all the injuries, I'd feel at least somewhat hopeful they could manage to squeak in. This year, they aren't better than anyone in front of them at this point, but that doesn't mean they can't get on a tear and some of the teams in front of them pretty clearly want to give their spots away if anyone will take them. I am still holding onto some hope. Strange things happen in baseball sometimes...
