Taken from another forum, I found this to be an interesting read. Looks fishy to me. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> I posted some of this in the other thread, but thought it deserved it's own because the NBA lied. 129 voters, first team all NBA, center votes Amare - 36 first place votes yao - 38 first place votes Howard - 1 first place votes Shaq - 3 first place votes Camby - 2 first place votes total votes - 80. There are 49 first place center votes unaccounted for. They most likely went to Duncan. This would mean he had 49 first place votes at center and 45 first place votes at F. If you look at the vote totals, it looks like it was a toss up on what to do with those center votes for Duncan. make him first team center or first team F because the reported totals show Amare had the same 494 points that LeBron had. This is where the NBA lied. IT's impossible for Amare to have that many points with just 36 first place votes and 129 voters. With 129 voters, and a 5-3-1 system, there were a maximum number of total points of 5805. But when you add the vote totals up, the total is 5950. The NBA padded Amare's vote total by 145 points to make it look like he tied with LeBron. he actually had 349 just total points. What does this all mean? It means the voters voted for a 1st team of Duncan/Dirk/LeBron/Kobe/Nash, the league switched it to Amare/Duncan/Dirk/Kobe/Nash.</div>
Very fascinating indeed. The First team system is messed up and Duncan did play the majority of his minutes at center this year.
