Not yet ,huh? Well, this thread is placeholder for when some idiot team will offer him 12mil a year. I'll miss the bald guy.
I think it depends on what he would sign for. He was a significant contributor, even though we have Crabbe. If coach wants to play 3 guards, he's your first sub off the bench.
I think the "sub" part is the problem. heard an interview a few months back where Henderson was saying how he missed being a starter. I think he wants to find a team where he can do that.
Henderson creates his own shot and Crabbe doesn't. Trouble is, Henderson then misses that shot and Crabbe makes it. I leave it to the reader to figure out my logic.
I enjoyed having Henderson on the team this season. He was a class act, a proven veteran and he made some big plays for us. But we need the cap space. So, best of luck to Gerald, wherever he ends up. If he can land a starting role elsewhere, good for him (as long as it's not with LAL, OKC, HOU, LAC, SAS or GSW). BNM
Sure he can. CJ is our starting shooting guard and backup point guard. Terry can move guys around based on matchups and need.
None of our Free Agents are gone until they sign somewhere else. We won't cut loose (renounce) them until we offer a contract to somebody named Whiteside, Howard or Horford. So, even tho small percentage chance they stay......it's still a chance. Crabbe is much younger and slightly better fit for team than Henderson IMO. But, that said, if Crabbe gets huge offer immediately out of the gate, and its for $16M/YR...I say welcome back Gerald!!
CJ goes out in the middle of the 1st and Crabbe gets in--->Lillard goes to the bench CJ is PG together with Crabbe at SG , Who is your SF?
No. He was starting at SF but I understand they are near interchangeable for Stotts sometimes. I would like Hark to start somewhere (depending on if we don't get a big name guy at SF or PF but it is looking more likely SF with Aminu at PF provided we don't bring someone in.
I think what some don't understand is that we HAVE renounce him if we want any significant cap space. He has a big cap hold. This has nothing to do with basketball decision, he simply has to go. It is theoretically possible to re-sign him, but we're definitely going to renounce him. Crabbe, OTOH, has a tiny cap hold. So, Neil's just going to say something like "talk to everyone, but don't commit to sign for a week or so." We will not be renouncing Crabbe. Again, it doesn't really have to do with whether NO likes Crabbe or Hendo or not.
