The Wizards went for the retro look last night, wearing the old Bullets jerseys. And Kwame Brown took it to another level sporting an Afro similar to Ben Wallace. Too bad he still played like Kwame Brown. Here's a link in case you missed it. http://cache.nba.com/media/wizards/brown_243_030409.jpg

you can't just look at his numbers. the guy is lost on the court. kwame still has not learned how to play within the team's offense and he doesn't know how to box out and use his body to position on defense. he has great athleticism and ability, but he is still "raw," and his fundamentals are horrible.
yo giv kwame a break...tha was a great game for him....well mayb not great but bettr than average...bein the first high skwlr ever to be picked 1st in the draft cant be tha easy even if it is ur 2nd year...he is still young and learning...he will prolly bulk up over the summer and work on his mid range jumper(15 ft) cuz he can hit that and then when next year comes, he will be pretty good(i hope) not like amazing good but like Most Improved Player good....mayb he needs to wear his hair like that every nite
He old bullets uni is sweet. Too bad the Wizards could not beat the Celts. I think Kwame played well with 17 points 8 boards. Maybe the fron gives him luck. He should be stylin the fro more often.
yes NEXT YEAR, not now. unfortunately Kwame is not learning, even with Jordan, Ewing, Oakley, & Doug Collins as his teachers. his production and cofidence have taken a nose dive since his first few games. he does not have the mental confidence to compete at this level and i don't think he has the work ethic either. i cannot imagine the pressure he has or how hard it must be to fullfil his #1 draft pick expectations. but kwame can no longer use that as an excuse, he made the decision to turn pro early, and so he's going to hear about when he doesn't produce. maybe he can be the next Jermaine O'neal in 2 more year, but until he can perform to his potential he's going to get a lot more criticism. *And yes he should definately sport the afro!
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting "go_duke21":</div><div class="quote_post">he looked eerily similar to big ben</div> haha... he did!!
Kwame has got a lot to learn...he blew the game for the Wiz at the end...he had a clean rebound but try to tip it with 6 SECONDS left that's enough time to bring it down and put it up.....he did have a good game tho, them unis were too sweet
When Wallace played for the Bullets he also wore that jersey for some time, although his hair was very short. On Kwame, he seems to be scared to make mistakes cause MJ always gets on his case and it seems that he is always benched on after a bad play.
The criticism of Kwame Brown never ceases to amaze me. He's 21 years old, and you know how many mpg he's averaged over the two years he's been in the league? 18.6. (Compare this to Kevin Garnett who averaged 33.7 his first two years in the league) Come on - how can you expect a player to be a consistent contributor when he gets only sporadic minutes and only 19 of those a game? How do you draft a player from college and expect him to be your 18 and 10 guy his second year, especially when you don't play him? The bottom line is Kwame has been mishandled. I'm hoping that the Wiz will now turn to a youth movement and develop him, Dixon, Jefferies, etc. If Kwame can handle how he's been treated for the last two years by the organization, media, and fans he's going to come out one of the most emotionally settled players in the league and when he finally gets a chance to show himself you're going to see another Jermaine O'Neal type situation (from when he moved from Portland to Indiana). I just hope the two years haven't broke his spirit.
I think kwame's goin to be a great player in this league. the times i've seen him play, he HAS looked a bit lost, but that's more of doug's and MJ's fault- always yelling at him. but i've also seen some great moves and good athleticism too... he's gonna be good given the chance and the minutes.
girls and b-ball what's better than girls and basketball? i can't think of anything else...so let's find and trade awesome pics while we talk straight up bball 8) ...sound good?
