Dirk had 53 points last night over the Rockets in overtime! The game was on TNT but I fell asleep in the third. Comments on Nowitzki`s 53 and Mavs OT win?
What an amazing performance by a Maverick player!! It was hard to imagine Tracy being second best in the game, but Dirk is definitely showing signs of a superstar. Not only did he score 53 points, he was very active defensively in getting 16 rebounds, 4 blocks and 3 steals!!! The best part was the Mavs winning the game. I would've been heartbroken like the Rockets fans now if the Mavs lost after his performance. I think the player chemistry on court in this game was the best I've seen all season. Kudos to Dirk and the Mavs team for winning this game.

Nowitski might be the single hardest player for opposing teams to guard. He's just a matchup nightmare. He's a 7 footer with exceptional ball-handling skills, he's very quick, has an excellent post-up game -- and if that wasn't bad enough, hus strength is his outside shot! They're only a handful of players in the league (Duncan, Garnett, Kirilenko, Odom, R. Wallace, maybe Cliff Robinson) who can match up against him defensively. Otherwise, you basically have to double team him, and for the most part we didn't.
53 Points is an incredible feat for scoring,and Nowitski was just untouchable last night. Great going Nowitski :thumbsup:
Thats my boy. Im telling you people when he gets into a rhythm he is unstoppable. 53/16. He had his own 10-0 run in OT. Good Job Dirk!!

Man Dirk's shot are almost all swishes when he makes it. That's the really amazing thing about his jump shooting. If they held a record for most swishes I think he may have the most swishes in the history of the league.
