<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>A few days ago we came across an article in a Dallas newspaper that, frankly, we?re still only 98 percent sure was an April Fool?s joke. According to the piece, Dirk is a ?flat-out awesome? guitar player and decent singer whose iPod was found to contain a handful of songs he had recorded ? including one with Steve Nash. Some of the song titles were ?The Little General? (we?re assuming that?s supposed to be about Avery Johnson), ?Reppin? my Mavs for Real,? and ?Screw the Pick and Roll, Gimme Rock ?n? Roll,? the song Dirk allegedly performs with Nash. Okay, maybe it sounds bogus right off the bat, but if you?ve ever seen Nowitzski and Nash party together, it becomes totally believable. The music reviewer who wrote the piece describes Dirk as a versatile musician whose style covers everything from hard rock to punk to blues to hip-hop. They even printed some of his lyrics: ?Randy Galloway?s lazy questions / Asks me ?How will you keep up the intensity?? / And the gold-digging fans with their bleached seductions / Paternity suits in every city.? Last but not least, the online version of the article had a link to one of the songs. We listened to it, and while the voice sounded rather un-Dirk-like, no one ever came out and screamed ?April Fool?s!? over the track. If it?s a joke, it?s definitely a well-put-together one that entertained us for a good half hour</div> LINK
