Dirk Nowitzki today were named the Eastern Conference and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday, November 29 through Sunday, December 5.

    Arenas led the Wizards to a perfect 3-0 week, averaging 25.7 points (first in the Eastern Conference) on .449 shooting and .571 three-point shooting, while recording 5.3 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 2.7 steals per game in wins over New Jersey, Atlanta and Chicago. Arenas posted a season-high 34 points in a 95-88 win over Chicago on Saturday.

    Nowitzki led the Mavericks to a 2-1 week, averaging a league-high 34.7 points, 12.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.67 blocks in wins over Houston and Utah, and a loss to San Antonio. Nowitzki scored 53 points in the Mavericks? win overtime over Houston, marking a franchise record, an American Airlines Center record, a career-high and an NBA season-high.

    Gilbert Arenas, Washington Wizards
    Dec. 1 vs. New Jersey: Scored 30 points along with seven rebounds, five assists and one steal in a 95-68 win over the Nets.
    Dec. 3 @ Atlanta: Had 13 points, eight assists, four rebounds and four steals as the Wizards defeated the Hawks 114-90.
    Dec. 4 vs. Chicago: Scored a season-high 34 points, and had three rebounds, three assists and three steals in a 95-88 win over the Bulls at the MCI Center.

    Nov. 30 vs. San Antonio: Tallied 21 points, 13 rebounds and four assists in a 107-89 loss to the visiting Spurs.
    Dec. 2 vs. Houston: Set a franchise, American Airlines Center, career and NBA season record with 53 points in a 113-106 overtime win over the Rockets. He also posted 16 rebounds, two assists, four blocks and 3 steals.
    Dec. 4 vs. Utah: Had 30 points, seven rebounds, four blocks, two assists and one steal in a 109-86 victory over the Utah Jazz.
