http://www.youtube.com/watch?DB_OEM_ID=500&v=AFaaNC-3tjQ&feature=youtu.be Even Herbie sounded dumbstruck at our Pac12 best and brightest refs...
We were commenting on all this during the game. There were actually a few more examples of the Bruins tossing someone to the ground after the play was dead. Extremely dirty team.
I agree it was bullshit but it's good experience for Stanford and hopefully Alabama. UCLA tried to take us out of the game but it was a big fail.
Huge fail! Don't hesitate to share this video with Larry Scott and the media. Not that it will do any good, but you never know. Scott has said his #1 goal is to protect players and make the game safer. Let's see if that is really true.... And, here's to facing UCLA again and this time drilling them into the ground from play 1.
"You think this is abuse? If you can't handle this, how can you handle the abuse you get on a sit?!" "Get mad, you sons of bitches, get mad!" http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xkqxh_coffee-is-for-closers_news&start=318 I'm glad the team didn't whine about this. They just closed.
I was at the game. It was ridiculous, and Helf and the rest of the staff were screaming at the refs. Zumwalt is an absolute cheap shot artist, and McCarthy kept faking injuries. Mora is such a fucker.
Thank you for the first hand account. I'm VERY happy to hear MH was not having it and in the REFS ear. Too bad they didn't do anything about it. I sent my complaint and a video to the Pac12. I received a nice response that the matter was being looked in to. Horsecrap. We destroyed them. I hope we face them again in the Pac12 Champ game so we can embarrass them, AGAIN.
I was in disbelief at the stuff UCLA was getting away with. The most flagerant was body slamming Thomas well after the whistle. But refs these days will throw a taunting flag for pretty much anything you do to an opponant you just tackled. Let alone waving your hand in their face right in front of the ref, or making a "goodnight" concussion sign right after banging your helmet into another player. Can we get some non-retarded officials?

ZumASS should be sitting the next game no questions asked! That putting you to sleep gesture was ridiculous, he should have been called for taunting and he should have been assessed a personal foul too. The shot on Marcus out of bounds later in game should have warranted a game suspension and instant ejection!
definitely some BS during the game, but apparently I'm not the only one who disagrees with the statement I bolded http://www.insidesocal.com/ucla/2013/10/28/anthony-barr-praises-marcus-mariotas-toughness/ STOMP
The hit on Mariota really wasn't I took the most issue with. It was the throwing to the ground after the play that was pissing me off. That happened to DAT multiple times. The refs should have put a stop to it and they didn't.
Ellis McCarthy certainly showed what a year in the UCLA weight room can do. That side slam of 178 pounds after the whistle should make any D line strength coach blush! Next week FUCLA will teach Ellis how to power clean 12 packs of Coors.
