Why does that guy say hi kingspeed? I don't think I'm in that video, am I? Or its just cuz he saw the link here. That makes sense.
Exactly. Yea, why doesn't Bynum learn how to block shots? More effective then elbowing a guy and getting ejected. And what's hilarious is that Barea still made the shot!
Andre Miller had a cheap shot on Blake Griffin this year, and some people here were defending him for it.
It's weird that you keep defending Bynum for that. You posted yesterday that Maurice Lucas used to pull the same crap. And to address your post, what Miller did was completely different but I'm sure you already know this.
Many differences: 1) Griffin had hit Miller twice prior to that shot. Barea hadn't done anything except play good basketball. 2) Griffin wasn't in the air when Miller delivered the shot. 3) The game was still in question. Bynum's foul came when they had already lost. 4) Barea is half the size of Bynum and could've been seriously hurt for no purpose except Bynum being a sore loser.
I think it's a stretch to call it a cheap shot. It was basically a hard foul...he ran into him and knocked him back. He didn't do anything dangerous, like undercut him or drive his elbow into a vulnerable area.
A cheap shot is a cheap shot, and players get pushed in the back on almost every play. I think Miller's shot on Griffin is even more dirty than Bynum's on Barea, simply because Griffin wasn't even involved in the play. Yes, but he couldn't block Barea so he hit the guy for no good reason. It would've been a little different if he did it at the start of the series. But just trying to hurt a guy when the series is done? Cowardly. He gets ejected and doesn't have to face Tyson Chandler laying a hurt on HIM.
It's a stretch to call this a cheap shot? Blasting into a guy who isn't even looking at you isn't a cheap shot? I disagree.
I agree, and I posted as such in another thread. The action doesn't bother me; the timing was cowardly, though.
Yeah, we'll have to disagree. I re-watched it and still don't think it was a cheap shot. Knocking the guy down like that really didn't risk any injury. To me, a cheap shot is a move intended to hurt another player. Putting a guy on his ass cleanly (by "cleanly" I mean in a non-harmful way) is not intended to hurt and really had no chance of doing so. The sizes of the players make a significant difference. Miller knew he wasn't going to kill Griffin with that move (the way Shaq might have killed Earl Boykins, had those been the participants), just embarrass him and send a message.
Time to subtitle this thread "Disgusting Blazer Fan Defends Miller's Foul on Griffin". The NBA thought it was a cheap shot, too.
I think that's maybe my 3rd post ever in the main forum. Usually in the OT forum just talking about local LA crap. taking it down from the inside. :MARIS61:
