HATE. Portland.
Meh. I think I was keen on him just because I wanted something to happen. Dixon can score, but when he's off he's really off, his shooting percentages are worse than Flip, and he's a tweener. Would much rather Portland sign Dixon and we retain Wilkins, MUCH more desirable than getting Dixon and losing Damien.
This means we probably keep Flip - but is he going to come that cheap??? I hope so, and this deal should help set the market for Flip IMO. My concern at this point though is that with Dixon also off the table, will others teams step up their courtship of RM? The talent is dwindling fast, I just hope the front office doesn't end up matching an offer that is longer and for more money than they wanted too because another team gets desperate and we have no where else to go. I suppose Damien Jones is still available as well, and probably some others I'm not currently thinking about too - it just seems the well is drying up. I don't want any deal for Flip to get out of control, but at the same time I don't want Luke's backup to be Mateen.
