He has 8.6 mill left I say offer him 5 mill buyout so we really pay 2 mill or do we keep him? He pretty much replaced stackhouse in this deal who was going to be bought out anyway

Hassell won't be able to do that
well, I think the Nets need him for the remainder of the season, because other than Ager he's the only backup SG. as for next year, it really depends what else they plan to do to fill out their roster. Not counting Hassell, they may just have eight or nine returning players--that's assuming that they don't deal Carter or RJ.
4 million isn't too much, you can probably play him, see how he does, otherwise just move him for another body. How does Cuban end up with all these idiot contracts, first George gets a bump for sitting on the bench, LaFrentz deal and now Hassell......
Hassell is a really nice guard defender, and his contract is only a couple million more than it should be. Why not keep him?
