Forget Arod for a second, it looks realistic that he will not be available for a period due to suspension. Which would seem to trickle over to next year

Thus, I feel we need a third baseman for now and next year. Not a utility player filling in. I feel we need to get creative, and it will cost us dearly.

I also feel that MLB by now knows what it wants to do with Arod and I feel they owe the Yankee Organization the courtesy of knowning there intentions going forward. I see Bud has helped his family business by getting Braun out of the way and not penalizing or costing them 2014. The Yankees should be afforded the same as with any other club so that it is a level playing feel looking for replacement players for suspensions and moving forward.

the only difference between braun and a-rod is that they have more dirt on a-rod so it would be quite a bit longer of a suspension... as far as needing a 3B, I agree... we need one and we'll probably get rapped for one...

I have stated this before, I want Headley from San Diego, and it will cost, but while acquiring talent it becomes necessary to trade talent. The fact that he is a switch hitter, it would allow us to balance our lineup tremendously, I would put a package together using Gardner as the centerpiece. I know I will get shit for this, but speedy, defensive judy hitters are easier to replace than 3B and starting SS's. I like Gardner, he has done nothing wrong with the exception id that he can't steal a base anytime he wants. He has not mastered the ability to get a good jump. I also think that there is a good chance that we will resign Grandy now at a good price and take the 200 K's along with the 30-40 HR's

I would rather trade granderson (if possible) and eat the money than trade gardner

I want Headley too but I just don't think the Padres will trade him. That said they could do a band aid and try and get Michael Young from the Philliies and then try and find a 3rd baseman in the offseason. Arod in my opinion is done as a Yankee and we won't see him in a yankee uniform again.

I pray your right, he has been such a distraction to this team.

Each waking morning I come to my computer hoping I will read about A-rod getting popped and suspended. Once that happens I think the Yankees will make a serious push for a 3rd baseman.

I feel MLB should be forcing the Arod issue. Unless they are working on more evidence, you have to ask yourself why Selig own family team the Brewers, are so far the only team to have the opportunity to prepare for the rest of this year and next. I feel that it is wrong to allow a Colon or Cruz to have any effect on the post season outcome if indeed they have evidence associated with each player. I can't believe for one moment that each team hasn't been notified by MLB to who possibly will be charged with this. The longer it takes, ir leaves a ever blackening eye on the game... Take out the trash!

I'll see your 5 and raise you 10, I'd like to see all of them dealt with, could affect Detroit, Texas, and Oakland, just make a clean sweep, sure wish Cervelli wasn't in there but hey if he did he di.

I fail to see where the integrity of the game is being upheld.
