Loney has 5 as well. And theres a bunch of others guys with 4 and 3 HR's. Andruw Jones was 'suppose' to help us out in that category but all he did was strikeout. Really don't know why the Dodgers didn't go after Rowand, the Angels stole Hunter from them. The good thing is Jones only has a 2 year deal. As for power, they don't really need it because they could score a lot of runs. At times I guess because when they don't score runs they get shutout.
Oh yeah just look at this, <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>With Andruw Jones joining Rafael Furcal, Nomar Garciaparra and Jason Schmidt on the disabled list, and with Esteban Loaiza having been designated for assignment, the Dodgers are paying $49.5 million in annual salaries to five players who can't play.</div> If the Dodgers don't make the post season, Colletti has to go.
Colleti should be fired regardless of the Dodgers success this year. Look at how he left the Giants with a bunch of overpaid over the hill players. At least the upper management didn't allow Colleti to deal away their young guys like he wanted to originally. At some point not having a big bat is going to catch up with your team. You need to at least have the threat of one.
For some reason, I still have faith that Jones is going to lead the team in HR's. I think that Colletti is one dumb general manager he sign Pierre for a 5 year deal, signed Schmidt to a three year deal and he has been on the DL since he got here, Jones to a two year deal and hes injured with 2 HR's. He's stupid for trading to get Maddux and then not resigning him. The only thing that I like that he is done is bring Saito and not trade none of our young guys. As for power in the near future its going to kill them. But I have to say next year Loney and Kemp are going to hit a lot of HR's because this is there first year playing since the beginning of the season.
