Im sure there will be some homers here.. makin up excuses
But tracy has been flat out miserable this whole year even in the preseason..
He was 5 for 20 tonight and maybe shooting 35 or 36 % on the year..
Yea its only been 4 games but its obvious the magic are in major major trouble i mean they only got 68 points this year
Its an amazing stat to see that doc river has been coaching the longest out of anyone in the east and thats only been 5 years
Honestly i think tracy is overrated.. and i really dont see how he makes the guys around him any better..
What are yalls opinion on the magic.. Becuz a lot of yall had predicted them to do some damage in the east..

Well, like you said, its only 4 games into the year. A lot can happen in 78 games.

Teams tend to struggle in the beginning, as it takes some time to adjust to new teammates, etc.

McGrady hasn't found his rhythm yet. He will get it. Stars always come around. And surely, you can admit McGrady is a star and a upper echelon player in the league?

I wouldnt be too worried if I were the Magic yet.

They lost to Detroit, New Orleans, and the Knicks. Detroit is expected to be one of the best Eastern Conference teams. The same goes for the Hornets. They are a good team as well.

The Knicks are a bit of a wildcard. They could end up making the playoffs this year. So in reality, the Magic might have 3 losses coming from playoff teams.

Its early, I'm sure when the season ends, T-mac won't be shooting 35% or whatever he's shooting right now. You can't really rate a player's season on just 3-5 games in. He'll hit his stride later, for sure....

Tmac has played outright terrible so far. I wont be quick to judge if the Magic will have a bad season or not, because its just too early.

As for McGrady being overrated, I sure dont think so. He makes everyone else around him better. Hes unselfish and knows when to take over. He hasnt become the clutch player that Kobe is, but it will come in time.

Once the Magic get used to their new players (8 new additions this season) and adjust to their new plays, things should get better.

I think all the teams are still showing signs of rust. The Magic arent in trouble yet. If they are still playing like this in 2 weeks or so, then theres trouble.

Why bother playing the remaining 78 games if you've already written him off Grizz? Remember his finish to last season to take the scoring title off Kobe, it was absolutely insane. He'll come good, he's too good not to.

Well he has his chronic back pain, and the lung problem, and he hasnt had a chance to rest. He shouldnt have played on the Olympic team.

Oh god dont start givin excuses yet..
He hasnt complained about any of those injuries, and tmac is known for using injuries as a crutch,
he said his back and lungs are fine, lets just say hes had a few bad games, and quit making excuses everytime he doesnt score 40 ok??

What a joke. T-Mac overrated? So if he does not score 40 a game he is not doing his job? Why don't you be more clear on where you stand on this (if your grammar does not interfere with you doing so)

Slow start, big deal, woopty freakin' doo, nice to see that you can point that out, guess thats detail for ya.

I think People sometimes clearly forget that the NBA season is 82 games...not a one week season.

But lets be serious guys, do any of you think the Magic can win even 30 games. i dont think so. They have no chemistry and Doc is a bad coach.

And you reach this conclusion after a week? Give it time guys.

Theres 8 new players on the Magic. Gordon and Gooden arrived late at the end of last season. Howard and Lue are both starters for the Magic who came during the summer. Harvey is a potential starter as well. So if you look at it the Magic have 3 new starters with Gooden making this season his first full one in a Magic uni. Tmac is the only starter after playing more than one full season the year before.

Teams dont gel overnight. This will take time. Dont write the Magic out yet. Im not impressed with their play, but its no reason to say they wont make the playoffs and are terrible.

Get worried if they are still playing like this next month.

I think T-Mac knows that the team revolves around him this year without Armstrong and Hill and he knows he has to step up but he is trying way to hard. Thats why he has been throwing up so many threes because he is trying to hard to win.

Once he finds out that he has two good teamates in Gooden and Howard he can trust with the ball then he will return to his all-star self that everybody knows him to be.

Him being overated is not true. He is probably one of the top five guys in the league and is a personal favorite of mine(just got home with the T-Mac 3's) He knows what to do when the ball is in his hands and he is one of the best at doing that.

You dont understand , Juwan Howard is too small to play center , and Ty Lue is too small to play PG. They lost DA the heart of the team . I have seen 3 of their games, and saw that they played without any emotions. But who the heck said T-Mac is over rated, they must be smoking. The guy is the 2nd leading scorer in the league after Rashard , and i can bet he will win the scoring title once again. T-Mac is a top five player, there are only four people at his level or above, Kobe, TD, KG, and Shaq. Thats it no one else. So how theheack is he over rated. [edited]

Earl Boykins isnt a starting PG, and TJ Ford is beyond Ty Lues talent. Name me 6 good teams in the east who have a weaker frontcourt than the Magic.

Lue has never been given the chance to start before. Once he's been given a full season to start, judge him. In the mean time wait and see. He could suprise you.

[IMG] No one in the east has that great of a frontcourt.

Yeah, theres some solid teams out there. I could have named some but I compare everything to the west. I probably shouldn't since theres such a gap between the two.
