Does anyone else think that the Warriors play some of the ugliest basketball in the world? Their whole object is run run and run and run and run. No defense, no timeouts, no stragety, no posistions, no gameplan except run. Now, I'm a huge fan of the Suns and teams that can run a structured/controled fast break. But the Warriors are ridiculous. They don't have structure, fundamentals, just athletes who can get up and down the floor. That is not the way basketball is supposed to be played. I think the main reason Dallas lost was just shock at how unusual the Warriors play. I think that if the Mavericks had anticipated the way the Warriors start off running instantly they would've won. Point is: Warriors play basketball the wrong way. I'm not saying there is a absolute right way, but I know notorious chucking and running is just plain ugly. And while yes their system proved somewhat effective, they will not win another series. The rest of the teams are ready now, and they will knock off Golden State. Golden State will not win another series. Their ugly basketball will be put to an end, thank god. I hate the way the Warriors play.

In terms of structure and a balance between offense and defense, it is not the prettiest brand of basketball in the world. But it is fun as hell to watch, and was enough to knock off the 67 win Mavericks (something the almighty Spurs and Suns were unable to do last year). It doesn't matter if it is ugly or organized, it gets the job done.

You can go to far on either running or restricting. And Rick Carlilse and Don Nelson both do. It's just plain ugly.
Umm....no.Honestly these playoffs are about 45% less good without the Warriors....You're just mad because Indiana made a STUPID trade and missed out on the playoffs while the Warriors went 16-5 after Baron Davis came back from his injury and everything started to click for them. How can you not enjoy last night's game? That's awful and I feel sorry for you.EDIT: took out insult "you're an idiot" wasn't neccessary and uncalled for

Actually, I've gotten over the trade. I am happy that Stephen Jackson is playing great and Al Harrington...well, you know. But this has nothing to do with the Pacers. I'm just finding the Warriors incredibly ugly to watch. I seriously have to turn off the TV or my stomach gets in a knot. I hate the Warriors style of basketball.

You hate players who use their athleticism and scoring ability to their fullest? You must really have something against the Warriors...

I know there are some fans of other teams who enjoyed watching the Mavs get eliminated but I don't see what's enjoyable about a blowout. I think most fans enjoy a competitive game down to the wire.

Your gripes are defense, strategy, timeouts and fundementals?Defense - The Warriors played great defense this series, and the best anybody has ever done on Dirk. They kept the mavericks below their season average and to 42% shooting, while keeping Dirk to 38% shooting.Fundementals - With the exception of Biedrins and Pietrus, the Warriors have a lot of very smart and fundamentally sound players. Say what you want about Stephen Jackson but he always makes the right decision.Strategy - All I can say about strategy is that it was good enough to beat the mavericksTime outs- Who likes time outs?
I don't see anything ugly about the Warriors style, and they do infact have a game plan. their game plan is to run the ball and shoot threes. it's not the most complexed game plan but it has worked thus far.

I personally wanted to see the Mavs win this game and for it to go to game 7 and for it to come down to the wire.BUT as a basketball fan watching the Warriors play like that is beautiful. I understand you're pissed though I would be too if my team's MVP played like that. He should still win it though. If they had faced the Clippers we wouldn't even be questioning Dirk's game and whether or not he deserves MVP.Nellie is just a more experienced coach than Avery and was his mentor. He had his number and knows the Mavericks inside and out.Mavs should just try to continue to build on what they have and Avery needs to switch things up night in and night out and prove next year he is a great coach and fire back on Nellie's strategies.Mavs will still be one of the teams to beat in the NBA next year and IMO should not move any of their big name players just because of this series.Like I said..the reason the Mavs fell apart was because they were out coached by Don Nelson (and by no means should Johnson be moved next year..by no means). He is one of the best coaches of all-time while this is Johnson's what 3rd season?I say just continue to build off the talent and depth of the team this year and go and try and win a title again next year with a new, more stable game plan.
Wow, then again this is what I expected. But wow, I can't believe you guys like to watch the warriors play. I guess it's refreshing to see teams play offense, but I think the warriors are just plain ugly. but ya know, that's just my opinion

I already countered all of your earlier statements, so I assume this is just a weird subconscious hatred you have for them because of the trade.....
Where was this when the Clippers of 3 or 4 years ago played the exact same style, before they got Elton Brand. They had Corey Maggette, Darius Miles, and all those other high flyers, all they did was alley oop and shoot threes but yet no1 complained about them.So what if a team plays better if they loosen up the offense and make it a bit funner for them. Maybe thats actually why they played well in the playoffs, because they were having fun, as apposed to sticking to some strict gameplan and just worrying about executing.

The last 30 championship teams have always been defenive minded. Defense wins. Offense does not. It's better to have a stragety and gameplan and a coach who helps dictate the game. Because, historically, that's what has won. It must just be matter of opinion, but I think the right way to play basketball is to find a balance between defense and offense. The Warriors cannot succeed the way they play, which is part of my reasoning, and then they play the wrong way in my opinion so I guess that's why I don't like watching them play because I'd refuse to be a part of a team like the Warriors.
