<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Here is what Baron Davis said about his injury and playoff shot.

EM: How are you recovering from your ankle injury that you've sustained?

BD: It’s getting better everyday and I hope to be back as soon as possible. I don't have a timeline right now and don't want to hurt myself by rushing back too quickly, but I want to be back out there as soon as I can to help us make that run.

EM: What is it going to take to end the 11-year playoff drought of this franchise? Who do you think you'll have to compete with for the final three playoff spots?
BD: There are a lot of teams in the West right now that still have a shot at getting into the playoffs. It’s going to be a tough race, but like I said before, if we play up to our potential I still feel we are in place to make a run.

    What do you think…??</div>

No one player equals playoffs dude, it takes a team to make the playoffs. Look at Garnett. Baron is a big piece of trying to make a PO team, but we have so many bad players on the team (Foyle, DUnleavy, Fisher) that it seems impossible to make the PO's.

Stick a fork in them... they're done after this last 4 games.

Our current rec is 24-32. There are 26 games left.

`13-13 rec will take us to 37 wins, same win total as Muss' second year.
`18-8 rec, which is the last year's rec after we acquired Davis will take us 42-40. Probably not enough to make PO.
`Ever since Dec 2, which we went 12-6, our record is 12-26. With that ratio, we will win 8 more games, which is 32 wins.

Unless we top last year's run at the end, there will not be PO...

Oh well. I had a bad feeling about these guys anyway prior to the season starting. It's why I was giving serious attention to the non-warrior fans saying they wouldn't make it because I pay attention to the Warriors and I think they might not make it as well.

When the Suns acquired Steve Nash, they made moves because they had cap to do so, plus they had two all-stars on their team already with The Matrix and Amare. We had no all-stars or one borderline all-star and no moves after acquiring Baron Davis. So I can't really say we were in a position like the Suns to just suddenly explode.

At least this summer we can do what we fans usually do. Talk about the lottery and who Mullin is going to pick next. It's the one thing that Mullin does well as GM. I hope we don't do something stupid like get JJ Reddick or some overrated player out of Duke or the ACC and I hope we get lucky to get Adam Morrison. There's a world of difference in the way this guy plays and acts compared to the other guy some compared to Larry Bird (Mike Dunleavy Jr). Anyway I like Morrison, not sure how he'd do in the NBA, but he's the team's star, he's got multiple dimensions to his game, leadership skills, fierceness, and Gonzaga has less talent overall than Duke which usually has 2 or 3 players going into the NBA it seems.

We'll see what happens. If we're not in love with a player we should try to package a draft pick and move some guys. Maybe the Fish or Foyle?

Nope. Can't have blind optimism for this team after 11 years of no playoffs.

There's just too many problems for one guy to fix. Chemistry, bad shooting, rebounding, poor defense, no go to guy, horrible free throws, etc.

And I didn't even mention our mediocre coach. You name it, we've got it [IMG] .

We need to get lucky, find some nugget like Chauncey/Bobby Jackson off the scrap heap or draft someone unknown like Danny Granger and get quality later down the road.

Patience is needed. A team is not made in one trade (Baron) or two years. The pieces are there, we are starting to see it now. The start was a mirage which would only have held back the youngsters. Let's ditch that and go young. Pietrus? I just don't know.

Granger was an unknown? Some mocks had him at 5.

One of the reasons why we didn't get Granger was because we were packed at the SF spot, Mullin is in LOVE with Dunleavy, and we needed a post player.
