Does it matter if Mayweather is afraid of Pacquiao if he still whips him with ease?

I don’t believe for a second that Floyd Mayweather Jr. is afraid of Manny Pacquiao, but let’s pretend that Mayweather is afraid of Pacquiao for the sake of argument. So what if Mayweather is afraid of him? Fear is a natural thing, and it goes away quickly once the fight starts. It doesn’t matter one bit if Mayweather is afraid of Pacquiao, because once the punches start flying, I see Pacquiao reduced to a pile of bloody flesh on the canvas. Mayweather, whether he’s afraid of Pacquiao or not, will still be just as hard to hit and just as quick with his hands.

If Pacquiao truly believes that Mayweather is afraid of him, he’ll probably get cocky and think he can rush Mayweather with his two-handed punching while on the run. I’m sorry, but that amateurish fighting style won’t get nowhere against a fighter like Mayweather. He’s going to be battering Pacquiao with punches and avoiding his shots in return. Many of Pacquiao’s fans seem to be gleeful about the idea of Mayweather being afraid of Pacquiao, as if it equals a win in their minds.
