yep, plus they get a blast with dill pickles. My Son has long made his own spiced pickles, a bit sweet, a bit dill, like Grandma's butter pickles. Our Dog's go crazy with Dill Pickles, not sure if they want it or not, can't make up their mind, or not. Craziest thing I've ever seen with our 5 GSD's in 94, was: I had returned from a 2 week work trip to Lake Charles. Upon departing back to home, I had bought 2 large Ice Cooler's, and filled them with all kinds of Luzianna-Cajun meats. When I got home to Ca, I was dicing some Gator meat, as all 5 dogs gathered around the cutting block, licking their chops. As customary I'd toss meat scraps 5 ft in the air, as they'd stand up a bit & catch the meat. When I did this with the first pieces of Gator, each one of them, instantly spit the meat out; and shot it and me a look, like wtf are you trying to feed me, my own predator??? Craziest thing to see. Only one picked the gator meat back up, ran outside with it; and rolled all over it on the grass. (btw-we had a dog door for our GSD's, it only fit for sliding glass doors, handy to have with that many big dogs).
Dogs are very cool animals. have to try lemon with my dog and see if he gets the same reaction. Other than lettuce and bananas he'll pretty much eat anything that doesn't eat him first.
^^^ our first GSD ate brussel sprouts delicately, leaf by leaf. Held them with her front paws, ever so gently....had another whom we could not say "milk shake" in his presence, if so, he would never forgive us, until he got his small vanilla shake... He'd moan doing his damndest to say milk shake...until he made me feel guilty as shit...
