Spurrier. Its better to have someone w/ a plan, a personality, and scheme ill suited to the NFL than Wanny who has no plan, a vanilla scheme that a Pop Warner team could defend successfully, & a personality that would disappear if he shaved his mustache.
If the Dolphins hire Steve Spurrier, I may start shopping for a new team. I don't say that lightly. I've been a Dolfan for 30 years. The only other time that I considered finding a new team was when "Teflon" Dave ran off The Great One. I called the Dolphins and spoke to someone in their PR department and told them if they didn't do right by Marino, then I would find a new team. This time, they better do right by the DWO and get us a decent coach.
I am not to crazy about Spurrier either but it is an improvement & only a rumor. The one certainity w/ Spurrier is his system requires a QB w/ strong arm ergo Goodbye Jay. I think when Eddie Jones (Team Pres) retires at seasons end then there will be some major house cleaning.
Im not a Spurrier fan and I dont really like his system, but there is a track record of success for smart coaches with their second teams....in washington, he couldnt protect his QBs, could he do better with Miami's O-line? not likely....

schottenheimer, parcells, vermiel, shanahan all had a lot of success with thier second teams, but not always a super bowl.
