Miami Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland took advantage of revised NFL rules on contacting players to talk with receiver Brandon Marshall, who was briefly hospitalized last week following a domestic dispute. Marshall's wife, Michi Nogami-Marshall, was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon after authorities said she stabbed him with a kitchen knife. Ireland said he talked with Marshall by phone Thursday under new NFL rules for doing business after a federal judge declared the league's lockout illegal.
