The Dolphins have been very active in free agency to this point and it is no secret they covet Ravens Center Jason Brown. Brown is just 25 and is a power player, which fits the Dolphins line needs in the AFC East, but he is seeking a contract in the $7-$8million a year range. The Dolphins may not believe they can afford to add a center at that cost, even if he is 320lbs of prime beef. What will they do if they can't afford the steak? It looks like they will settle for Berger, as in Joe Berger of the Cowboys. Berger is expected to visit the Dolphins today and the signing is described as eminent. If it happens, it would be Berger's 2nd stint as a Dolphin and he would compete for the starting center and starting right guard position.
